Apex Legends Season 6 is bringing major map changes for World’s Edge. Design Director Jason McCord discussed the updates just last week.
The design team focused on the following key points this season as they added three new Points of Interest:
- More (and improved!) play on the lava side of the map
- Better options for rotations out of some particularly sticky chokepoints
- An interesting new map mechanic to promote some new combat scenarios.
The Launch Site, Countdown, and Staging areas were added alongside new pathways and cut-throughs in order to facilitate better flow in matches while keeping things interesting.
