Most days we ask ourselves here at Twinfinite, “What is Hideo Kojima doing today?” On days like this, we get an answer.
Kojima is making some sort of noise into a microphone today, seemingly in preparation for tonight’s Game Awards. In a matter of hours he’ll be accepting an Industry Icon award on stage and, as we have gathered from the facial and body position pictured below, performing an acceptance song.*

After an internal debate, and considering his barring from The Game Awards last year, we’ve decided that Kojima is singing a ballad to his inner strength and/or something spiteful from the Taylor Swift catalog. The setting also seems suited to some sort of song titled Stronger, in either the Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, or Kanye West varieties.
Maybe the Kojima Productions team is finally making their debut after dropping the cover of what is certainly their hot J-pop album and/or original Showtime drama series.
But with Death Stranding seeing its own panel at this weekend’s PlayStation Experience, we’re inclined to believe something along these lines:
