As promised, a new trailer has dropped for the third season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, officially dubbed A New Frontier.

In the trailer shown above, we get a brief glimpse at the backstory of Javier, which was already highlighted in a previous trailer. The main thing in this trailer, however, is that we finally get some insight into this season’s story arc.

Season three will focus on the titular group of survivors, The New Frontier, which Clementine describes as people that “used to be different people, now they’re… something else”. This may ring a bell with fans of the television series and the graphic novels, seeing how both are dealing or have dealt with a similar group known as The Saviors, led by the infamous Negan.

This season looks a lot more action-oriented and violent compared to seasons one and two, which is complemented by the introduction of comic book favorite: Paul Monroe, better known as Jesus. Paul is an agile character with sublime survival skills and a variety of tricks up his sleeve, making him a force to be reckoned with for both the living and the dead.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier launches December 20 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This third season is also coming to iOS and Android on a later, yet unannounced date.
