The most important aspect of character customization in Valkyria Revolution comes with Basil’s Factory is Elsinore. This location lets you upgrade your party member’s stats and elemental affinities, in turn letting them equip stronger Ragnite. On top of that, you can also select new R&D projects that give you new guns and grenades to use in battle.
You’ll need kr (money) to use R&D projects, while you’ll actually have to use Ragnite gems themselves to upgrade your characters. Luckily both of these can be earned from any battle within the game. It’s honestly best to visit Basil’s Factory after each battle in Valkyria Revolution to see which new weapons you can get or place a character upgrade or two.
