Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of June 2017

Normally fighting games aren’t the easiest to rack up trophies, let alone a platinum one on the PS4. They tend to require a lot of skill and often way too much time spent dealing with other contenders online. Tekken 7 is different, though, as it allows you to obtain all but four of the 43 available PS4 trophies offline, and a lot of them can even be obtained in practice mode.

Better yet, there are no difficulty based trophies. Though a couple of the fights can be tough, you can keep retrying until you win (we’re looking at you Akuma and Kazumi). If you have at least a little bit of skill you can obtain this platinum trophy in a single day or split it over the course of a weekend. Play through the story, complete a few of the extra character episodes, use practice to fill out checklists, and then have a friend play through some online with you. Not too shabby. Plus, since Tekken 7 is actually a good game, you’ll be able to have a lot of fun while completing everything, maybe even become a pro with one of the characters.

If you need any help obtaining the various shiny rewards on offer in Tekken 7, be sure to check out our complete trophy guide.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Crash Bandicoot N., pc

After years of pleas from fans, Activision has finally unleashed everyone’s favorite, orange, jean shorts-wearing mascot from the vault and let him run, jump, spin, and crash onto the PS4. The first three games of the Crash Bandicoot series have been released as part of the N. Sane Trilogy as completely remastered titles that take advantage of the current generation of hardware. There have even been some new features thrown in such as challenging time trials (new to Crash 1 and 2) which will really put your platforming prowess to the test. But, for all you trophy hunters out there, the real draw will be the three complete trophy lists that each include their very own platinum waiting for you at the end. That’s right, on one disc (or download) you can earn three platinum trophies to add to your PS4 collection.

Now, Crash Bandicoot has never been the easiest video game series out there, requiring solid timing and precision. This will make the time trial segments a bit challenging, but everything is far from impossible. Still, even if you struggle with those they’re only a fraction of the 75 trophies on offer. Time to increase your collection by a ton. Also, to help you out, we’ve even made a full trophy guide.

Cars 3: Driven to Win

Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of June 2017

Okay, so this is a Disney game brought to you by Avalanche Software that many of you reading this have probably quickly overlooked. After all, movie tie-ins are never really that great, plus it’s a kiddie racer, but it turns out that it’s actually pretty fun. It takes track racing and throws in weapons to keep things interesting, similar to the likes of Mario Kart or Crash Team Racing. Even better, it has a relatively easy trophy list that shouldn’t eat up more than a weekend of your time.

We must warn that there is quite a bit of repetition, which is something you should expect from a racing game. You’ll find yourself doing a lot of laps, pulling off stunts, and ramming other vehicles. But, if you don’t mind the monotony and are down for some fun, weaponized racing, then you have 22 trophies (which includes a shiny platinum) waiting for you.

The Town of Light

Easiest PS4 Trophies and Platinums of June 2017

The Town of Light is an adventure game in the vein of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Gone Home, and other titles that see the player slowly exploring detailed worlds as they gather bits and pieces of a story. Since it’s one of those types of games, the experience is straightforward, as is the trophy list on the PS4. You’ll need to simply progress and go off the beaten path every once in a while in order to see certain sights and complete specific actions, all of which can easily be done with a guide.

The game isn’t particularly long, taking only a few hours to go through, but if you do everything right you’ll find your trophy count increased by 21 (and your platinum count increased by one). Even if you have to do a second run, it shouldn’t take you too long, and the atmosphere of a Tuscan asylum, which is the setting of the game, is creepy and intriguing enough to keep you hooked.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Under Pressure

Guardians of the Galaxy episode two

You can always count on Telltale to deliver a fun story and some easy trophies. June brought us the second episode of the studio’s Guardians of the Galaxy series, Under Pressure, which also brought along six more shiny baubles for your digital collection. The only thing you have to do to obtain the trophies in the game is to complete it. While decisions are a huge component of the experiences that Telltale offers, they have no bearing on any of the achievements in the game. Just sit back and enjoy the story as you complete simple puzzles and make some tough decisions.

Of course, you won’t get a platinum just yet. That won’t come until after completing the fifth and final episode sometime later this year. But at least you can start working towards it.
