Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s much awaited beta has now begun for those of you who pre-ordered the game, with the full open beta set to hit in a few days time. The game is set to be one of the year’s biggest releases, and it’s believed that this beta will make or break many opinions on the hotly debated franchise.

The first Star Wars Battlefront was released as a reboot to the classic shooter series in 2015, and many complained that it seemed a little flat or featureless; there was no single-player campaign, no space battles, and every game seemed to play out the same. Despite this, they really captured the Star Wars aesthetic, leaving many excited about what DICE could bring for the sequel. And it seems like they’ve brought a lot, with space battles, a fleshed out campaign, and much more being in the game this time.

In the beta alone you’re able to play three different modes on three different maps, spanning across the entire Star Wars universe; Theed, Fondor, and Takodana. Every day players will be tasked with different challenges that will earn them rewards to carry over into the full game. You can see every challenge below, as well as many more details about the game (thanks to SG-17 on NeoGAF for the details).

As you can see above, the Beta is now live for Pre-orders on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and will begin for everyone else on Oct. 6 at 8AM UTC, or 4AM EDT. It’s time to strap in for the next few days, it’s gonna be a wild ride.
