While Ubisoft previously claimed that The Division was its most successful game at launch worldwide, the company has now announced that the online shooter has become the most successful game to launch in the UK in the first three months of any year.

As first reported by Eurogamer, The Division has already broken launch figures for the first three months of the year since Gran Turismo 4 launched for the PlayStation 2 back in 2005.

It should also be noted that despite breaking records, The Division still ranks third behind Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed 3 as Ubisoft’s most successful game launches ever.

The split in console sales figures for the game came in surprisingly close, with 54 percent of physical copies sold being on the PlayStation 4, and 45 percent of physical copies selling on the Xbox One.

The UK sales chart for the past week can be seen below, and is dominated by The Division at the No. 1 position and Far Cry Primal at the No. 2 spot, both being Ubisoft games. A third Ubisoft game, Rainbow Six: Siege, rounds out the top 10.

  1. The Division
  2. Far Cry Primal
  3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  4. FIFA 16
  5. Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
  6. LEGO Marvel Avengers
  7. Grand Theft Auto V
  8. Forza 6
  9. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
  10. Rainbow Six: Siege
