You Won’t Need PlayStation Plus to Play the Battlefield 1 Open Beta

Excited to get your hands on with the next installment in the Battlefield franchise? Great news, everyone will be able to participate in the Battlefield 1 Open Beta. Yes, DICE has confirmed that you won’t need to be subscribed to PlayStation Plus to participate in the open beta. Check out the tweet down below.

Keep in mind, when the game launches later this fall, you will need to be a PlayStation Plus member to play online. If you aren’t already subscribed we suggest you do so now, because Sony did announce that they will be raising the price of the online membership.

Battlefield 1 will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 21, with an open beta launching on Aug.30.
