Fortnite is quite the global phenomenon, both in-game and out. There’s a chance that it may not have elevated to its current state of popularity were it not for the creative fans that have spread the game across Youtube, streaming platforms, and other social media websites.
Epic Games have decided that a new campaign will be running from next week until December 31 to give back to these talented content creators: the Support-A-Creator campaign.
Throughout the campaign, Fortnite players will be able to pick their favorite content creator to support through in-game purchases. After selecting a creator that you wish to support, spending your V-Bucks on anything in the game’s Save the World or Battle Royale mode will earn that creator some money.
Regardless of whether the V-Bucks were gained through gameplay or purchased with real money, the creator will earn money from all of your in-game purchases.
Once the campaign begins, head on over to the Item Shop in Battle Royale or the Loot section in Save the World. From there, select the “Support a Creator” option and enter the Epic account name of the creator you wish to support.
The creator must be a part of the campaign in order be selectable. Any Fortnite content creator can head over to the Epic Games website to apply. Epic lists the following examples of creators: “video makers, streamers, storytellers, artists, cosplayers, musicians, and community builders.”
You can change the creator that you wish to support at any time during the campaign.
