Your Stardew Valley foraging level is increased as you forage for random things from the land as well as the wood that is collected after a tree is chopped down. Every time you level up your foraging, you gain a +1 to your axe efficiency. Here is what each level lets you craft.

Level 1

  • Wild Seeds
  • Field Snack
  • Trees sometimes drop seeds

Level 2

  • Survival Burger

Level 3

  • Tapper

Level 4

  • Charcoal Kiln
  • Wild Seeds
  • +1 Wild Berry Harvesting

Level 5

  • You get to choose one of two professions:
    • Forester – Wood worth 50% more.
    • Gatherer – Chance for double harvest of foraged items.

Level 6

  • Lightning Rod
  • Wild Seeds
  • Warp Totem Beach

Level 7

  • Wild Seeds
  • Warp Totem Mountains

Level 8

  • Warp Totem Farm

Level 9

  • Rain Totem

Level 10

  • If you chose Forester:
    • Lumberjack – Normal trees occasionally drop hardwood.
    • Tapper – Syrup is worth 25% more.
  • If you chose Gatherer:
    • Botanist – Foraged items are always gold quality.
    • Tracker – Locations of foragable items are revealed.
