Star Wars 1313 was an Mature-rated action game starring the bounty hunter Boba Fett. The game was midway through development when developer LucasArts was shut down in 2013, and Disney did not renew the game’s trademark. However, Lucasfilm is aware of the canceled game and may be planning to bring it back.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy mentioned the game in a recent interview with Slashfilm. It’s unknown how much of the game still remains, but the company seems to have some remnants of the title.
So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.
Star Wars 1313 excited fans by being the first M-rated game in the franchise and starring the immensely popular Boba Fett. Electronic Arts has exclusive rights to develop Star Wars games for a while, so they would likely pick up the project if it was rebooted.
What do you think about this title possibly coming back? Do you trust EA to develop the game after their handling of the new Battlefront title? Let us know in the comments.
