Shikhondo: Soul Eater Coming to Consoles this Summer

Bullet hell Shikhondo: Soul Eater is making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, the game’s publisher Digerati announced via a new trailer. As this turbulent, out-of-control game is currently available on Steam, it was only a matter of time until it received console releases.

Almost indescribable in concept, “Shikhondo: Soul Eater is a Korean bullet-hell shoot ’em up set within a beautiful and bizarre world of Asian mythology,” as described by the game’s indie publisher Digerati. Players take control of grim reapers in order to reap and save the lost souls that have escaped from Limbo. Naturally, the only way to do this is by blasting their way through waves of chaotic demons that consume the souls of the innocent.

The game features three game modes: arcade, hardcore and local co-op and will throw players into five bullet hell stages packed with inescapable hypnotic barrage patterns. With demons and bosses inspired by Asian mythology, this game is the perfect treat for fans interested in a challenging shoot ’em up surrounding a familiar premise.

Known for their wide variety of games, indie publisher Digerati has also produced other classic-style games such as the action-adventure platformer Omega Strike and the unique puzzle-solver Dream Break.

Shikhondo: Soul Eater is now available on Steam, and will be out on consoles this summer.
