We have known for a while now that Resident Evil 7 biohazard would feature VR support and, indeed, it was very scary. However, few details have come out regarding what VR platforms Resident Evil 7 will support, though we did know Playstation VR would support Resident Evil 7’s VR function. Now, more details have come out surrounding the VR platforms on which Resident Evil 7 will be supported.
The information comes from an advertisement on Facebook, as pointed out by a reddit user, for the upcoming Resident Evil iteration. There image in the advertisement claimed some valuable information:
At the bottom of the image, it reads “RESIDENT EVIL 7 BIOHAZARD coming in 2017 and exclusive to PlayStation VR for 12 months.” This likely means that other VR devices, such as the Oculus Rift, Samsung VR, among others, will receive the VR functionality for the game after the timed exclusivity.
The other VR platforms that will eventually support Resident Evil 7 biohazard’s VR mode is currently unknown, so we can only speculate at this point. However, it is important for those expecting VR support on all VR platforms. For now, you can expect a Jan. 2017 release date for Resident Evil 7 biohazard.
