With Resident Evil 7 finally out on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC, many players may be wondering if the terrifying horror title will also be making its way to the Nintendo Switch. After all, who wouldn’t want to scare themselves senseless when they’re on the go?

Unfortunately, those who are looking at picking up the Switch shouldn’t be expecting Resident Evil 7 to come to the console. Speaking with Express online Capcom Producer Masachika Kawata shut down the speculation of the game coming to Switch.

Speaking to Express Online, Kawata commented on the Switch, calling it a “unique piece of hardware”. Unfortunately, Kawata then went on to say there are “no plans” to bring RE7 to the Nintendo Switch. He did, however, believe there was a possibility for future titles to come to the console.

Of course, plans can always change so a tiny, tiny chance always remains for Switch fans to get their horror fix. If there are any updates regarding the title coming to the Switch, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
