Title update 1.05 was released today, and like a lot of Rockstar patch notes, does not contain an awful lot of information. It simply states that it is  “addressing general improvements to fix game stability, save data and to address exploits.”

Alongside the aforementioned fixes, Rockstar is also giving players who have taken part in the beta some gold bars and some extra cash for their troubles. Everyone who has played in the beta up until Monday, Dec. 24th, will receive 15 gold bars that can be used to outfit your avatar. To claim this nice little Christmas treat, simply log into Red Dead Online before the cut off date to be eligible for the reward. Similarly, any player that pre-ordered the game will receive RDO$100, with players that pre-ordered the Special and Ultimate editions receiving an additional RDO$100 and RDO$1000 respectively.

The real-money store is also now live, allowing players to purchase gold bars for real currency. Microtransactions will always make gamers nervous, and only time will tell how the community will react to their implementation, although it should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with GTAV. If you are so inclined and have some spare cash burning a hole in your pocket, gold bars are available at the following price’s:

  • 25 gold bars for $9.99
  • 55 gold bars for $19.99
  • 150 gold bars for $49.99
  • 245 gold bars for $74.99
  • 350 gold bars for $99.99

Finally, Rockstar has been reviewing community feedback and suggestions, and are working on updates aimed for early 2019. These updates will provide anti-griefing measures, gameplay balancing adjustments, and most importantly of all, additional content and multiplayer modes.
