Pokemon GO has a lot of Pokemon in it already, and fans are having a grand time capturing every single one. Yet, just like in the handheld games, there are some Pokemon that remain much rarer than others and have yet to be seen. One such Pokemon is Mewtwo.
Mewtwo is currently the subject of a large scale hunt, as everyone is seeking out this legendary Psychic-type to bolster their roster. Unfortunately, it may not have been added to Pokemon GO just yet, though we have thought of a few exotic locations where it could be hiding now or some day.
By the looks of things, Niantic and The Pokemon Company are waiting on some type of special event before unleashing Mewtwo onto the world. Most likely, this will be the case for all legendary and extremely rare Pokemon going forward in Pokemon GO.
This means that you probably can’t capture Mewtwo in the game currently, but don’t lose hope just yet. There’s over a hundred other Pokemon to collect and train, and plenty of Gyms to claim for your team. In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated on any Mewtwo news down the line.
