The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild mod adds GTA’s CJ to the Adventure

Grove Street meets Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the year’s best games, but it’s missing a little something. If you’ve also been thinking that the game would benefit from the inclusion of GTA San Andreas protagonist CJ, then you’re in luck!

Originally reported by Videogamer, a new mod has surfaced for emulated versions of the latest Legend of Zelda title. The mod is just a skin for Link that turns him into the fan favorite GTA character, complete with his trademark baggy jeans and white muscle shirt. He still manages to look tough, even surrounded by Moblins and other terrifying creatures. Unfortunately, CJ can’t equip any armor, but he’s tough enough to survive the fields of Hyrule on his own.

This is only possible on a PC that is emulating the game, but it’s still incredibly fun to try out. The game was emulated incredibly quickly after launch, with a Wii U version of the game becoming playable within a month of the title hitting store shelves.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released for both the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch earlier this year after more than three years in development. It set a new bar for both action adventure games and the series itself.
