There’s nothing I like more than the ‘80s and pulsating synths, so it seems the upcoming neon-tinged rhythm driving game Neon Drive is right up my alley. Much like Thumper, where you’ve got to rely on razor-sharp reflexes to propel you through the night, it’s going to push your limits, all while looking totally sweet. And it’s about to come out on PlayStation 4.
It’s already out for PC, so we’ve had plenty of time to try it out in all its ‘80s-like glory, from Tron-like spectacles to free-form driving throughout the city and everything in between. If you’re a fan of the ‘80s and colorful games that test your limits, you’ll want a piece of the neon-soaked goodness that is Neon Drive.
Personally, I think we need more of these styles of games, and I’m tickled to see someone trying to provide more of them. You can pick it up and try it on PlayStation 4 for yourself come August 8, but check out the trailer first and see if it isn’t one of the coolest games you’ve seen in quite a while.
