McFarlane Toys recently announced that it will be releasing $24.96-priced Walmart-exclusive NBA 2K19 figurines of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Russel Westbrook, Kristaps Porzingis, and Giannis Antetokounmpo sometime in August 2018.  But interestingly, each toy will contain a Locker Code with a McFarlane Pack that contains a guaranteed a ruby card for a random player, Game Informer reports.

Ruby Cards are difficult to come by in the early moments of the MyTeam game mode. In NBA 2K18, player ratings in the ruby tier normally hover around the 88 mark. This means nabbing one of these McFarlane toys will give you an early advantage in MyTeam without having to test your luck on countless loot-box like MyTeam cards.

Cross-promotions isn’t new in the NBA 2K series, with last year’s NBA 2K18 having Locker Code rewards for Reese’s Puffs and Mountain Dew. Aside from being available in cross-promotions, Locker Codes are normally given away by 2K on Twitter, some of which are time-limited or can only be redeemed a limited amount of times.

NBA 2K19 launches September 7 for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
