How to Sprint in Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Recommended Videos

If you tilt your left analog stick in any direction in Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Talion will only walk slowly and edgily in whichever direction you chose. This is great, if you like being immersed in your video games, but if you want him to move a little faster, there’s a way to do that too.

To sprint with Talion, or at least move at a faster pace than his default speed, all you have to do is hold down the X button (or the A button if you’re on Xbox One) and he’ll begin running. This is very helpful when you’re following a fast NPC, or chasing after a target. Or, you know, if you don’t want to just walk slowly around the whole of Middle-earth. Thankfully, there doesn’t seem to be any stamina meter or recharge period in the game, which means that you can get Talion to sprint indefinitely.

You can also press the L3 button to activate Elven dash, which allows him to move even faster. However, this does drain your focus bar.

And that’s pretty much all you need to know about sprinting and running in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Be sure to check our wiki for more information on the game, or sound off in the comments down below if you have any questions.
