The sequel to the space flight simulation game from Space Theory and publisher Private Division is scheduled to release sometime in 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The cinematic trailer was shown during the presentation, showing the little Kerbal people land on the moon, orbit around planets, and land on an arctic colony before their ship inevitably falls over and destroys several buildings.

The team behind Kerbal Space Program 2, Star Theory, also released a trailer detailing some of the challenges, the community that was created by the game, and some of the facets that made the first game fun and successful.

Star Theory will be the main team behind Kerbal Space Program 2, while Squad, the developer of the first game, will be offering support.

Check out both the cinematic announcement trailer for the game and the developer story trailer below.

The first game originally released in 2011 before joining Steam Early Access in 2013. It left the program in 2015 and was soon ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One alongside enhanced versions for the consoles released last year.
