GTA V’s Los Santos is essentially a massive playground for players to get lost in. Want to invade an air base, steal a fighter jet, and cruise around the skies raining down hell on whoever you fancy? You can! Or perhaps you just want to enjoy a round of golf or pull of some heists with friends. The point is, the possibilities are nearly endless already in GTA V, but installing mods can make things a lot more interesting. While the PC mods community is already thriving, some may wonder how to install GTA V mods on PS4.

Well, technically, you can actually get GTA V mods on PS4, but not officially. Rockstar Games hasn’t endorsed the use of mods, nor is it an intentional feature of the console version of the game. If you do want to install GTA V mods on your PS4, you’ll need to make use of an exploit within the PS4’s firmware, as well as go about not updating your system or the game. As a result, it’s far from a practical thing to do if you find yourself playing a lot of different games on your system.

We don’t recommend installing GTA V mods on PS4, largely because it’s not a supported feature by Rockstar and if anything goes wrong, you’ll be completely on your own.
