Mass Effect: Andromeda was released earlier this year and was somewhat of a disappointment to fans due to it launching with a large amount of bugs that hampered the overall experience. However, BioWare has released a number of patches since the game’s launch that have somewhat stabilized the title.
If you’re looking for an excuse to return to the Andromeda galaxy then you’ll be pleased to learn that a new trailer has been released which teases a new difficulty mode called Platinum for the game’s Apex multiplayer missions. Players usually earn either a bronze, silver, or gold rank depending on how well they’ve performed but now you’ll be able to earn a platinum rank.
The trailer also shows that the race of aliens in Mass Effect known as the Batarians will join the multiplayer, despite the fact that they didn’t appear in the main game. Check out the trailer below:
No doubt some Mass Effect fans will be pleased to get some extra content but, as the YouTube comments show, some fans would much rather see single-player DLC. It was recently announced that there won’t be any single-player DLC for the game, a first in the Mass Effect series and perhaps due to the lukewarm reception of Andromeda.
