Part Two: The Kill
Once you’re all prepared, make your way back up to the garage and head straight towards the stairway leading up to the embassy. Trigger the fire alarm and watch as our Gunrunner heads straight for the basement. He will be accompanied by his other two bodyguards and a handful of soldiers, so make sure to stay behind them when you’re following. Once you reach the locker area they will head back upstairs and evacuate the second VIP target from the main mission.
Do not kill the Gunrunner until you see the second person get evacuated as they will discover the body, you trying to escape, and it will end with your hitman being filled with bullets. Once the next set of guards run by something odd will happen with his bodyguard’s A.I. For whatever reason, they will prioritize the main campaign’s target over the Gunrunner and actually leave without their boss. Now, it can happen where they stay in the basement, but we’ve already prepared for that issue.
If the A.I. does go with the other evacuated target, silently kill the Gunrunner with a pistol or fiber wire and proceed out of the security tunnel. If the bodyguard stays, leave the room and head up to the garage entrance. Once you’re there, detonate the explosives and exit the room via the door you initially entered in. The latter will alert all the guards so it’s best to get a head start and vanish into the crowd.
Just make sure when you are leaving the embassy that one of the other bodyguards doesn’t spot you because they are the only ones who can see through your disguise. Make your way to an exit and there you have it. Making Hitman’s world a little safer, one charred body at a time.
Now this is obviously one way to complete this contract and we’d love to hear how you did it. In our time mapping this target out, we found this to be one of the most consistent and predictable methods that doesn’t end in a gun battle. Just make sure not to detonate those bombs when you’re in the basement, it probably won’t end well for you.
