Right now, you can go ahead and pre-order the game on the Nintendo Switch eShop to receive a 10% discount. Also, if you already own Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition, you’ll receive an additional 20% off, marking the initial price down quite a notch.

There are also two downloadable content packs coming to Guacamelee 2, one titled “Tree Enimigos,” and the other dubbed as “Proving Grounds.” The first add-on pack is actually available now for the PS4 and PC and costs $2.99. The pack allows you to play as three new boss characters: El Muñeco, Uay Pek, and Jaguar Javier.

Proving Grounds will launch in December for the price of $3.99 and features multiple new challenges and several unlockable characters.

These two packs will be available for the Switch and Xbox One versions once the game launches of course.

Guacamelee 2 is now out for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can watch the announcement trailer down below:

We recently reviewed Guacamelee 2 for the PS4 and thoroughly enjoyed the 2D platformer, giving the game a rating of 4/5. Just like its predecessor, Guacamelee 2 excels in its deep and engaging combat as well as its unique platforming segments. The game was just a bit too similar to the first one, but hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…am I right?
