The Equinox event begins on Friday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. PT / 4 p.m. ET until Oct. 2, and offers double Stardust for catching Pokemon and hatching eggs. Registering new Pokemon to the Pokedex also gives triple the normal XP, while PokeStops and Gyms will give special 2 km eggs with a chance to receive Chansey, Larvitar, Mareep, and others. During the event, the in-game shop will carry boxes containing items such as Lucky Eggs, Lure Modules, and the new Super Incubators that hatch eggs 1.5 times quicker.

Meanwhile, Pokemon Go players still have until Sept. 30 to catch one of three legendary Pokemon in their region before moving to another. Entei, Raikou, and Suicune will then rotate to the last region after Oct. 31. Players can also receive a free avatar T-shirt advocating Global Goals for Sustainable Development by logging in, which was added in an update earlier this week alongside various bug fixes.
