Netherrealm’s Injustice 2 is set to release this year after a reveal back in June of 2016. The sequel, set years after the original, will have the heroes of the DC universe debating on whether or not to release Superman from his prison after a bigger and more cosmic threat from beyond the stars shows up looking to start trouble. Recent rumors started circulating that the superhero fighter would arrive on Mar. 28, but creative director Ed Boon easily stated that those rumors were false.
FYI: Injustice 2 is not coming out March 28.

Naturally, Boon didn’t say anything else regarding Injustice 2’s release date after that, despite the replies trying their hardest to glean any information that they could from him. Over the months, he’s vaguely teased about adding in new heroes like the Red Hood and the Watchmen, but anything about a release date is likely not going to come for a while. Once it does, we’ll let you know.
Injustice 2 will come to the PS4 and Xbox One sometime this year. Just not Mar. 28.
