Star Wars Battlefront II’s Split-Screen Co-Op Feature Will Not Be Available on PC

Bad news for PC players.
This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Much like 2015’s Battlefront, the recently unveiled Star Wars Battlefront II will have offline, split-screen co-op. This means that if you have a friend with you, you can enjoy the game modes together on the same screen and console. It’s a good feature to have, if only so that players aren’t just limited to online multiplayer modes.

However, this feature will be exclusive to consoles, and will not be available in the PC version of the game. According to Game Informer, EA has confirmed that the offline co-op mode will be available on both PS4 and Xbox One, but not on PC.

“A blog entry on the Xbox Wire previously said the feature will be exclusive to Microsoft’s console. This is not the case. Game Informer was able to confirm with an EA representative that the split-screen will be available on both consoles (the Xbox Wire post was also updated to say the feature is console-exclusive). However, the feature will not be available on the PC.”

Overall, it’s good news for console players, but it looks like those planning on getting the game on PC will have to make do with just online multiplayer functions.

Star Wars Battlefront II is set to be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17.
