While the hottest farming game of 2016 won’t be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch on March 3, developer Eric Barone has mentioned in his update blog that Stardew Valley will be coming to the new console. In addition to that, Barone also stated that the possibility of porting the game over to the PS Vita was currently under investigation. Hey, if the game makes it to the Switch, we’re all set for portable farming.
In addition to that, Barone also stated that while most of the game’s development has now been outsourced, he’s still heavily involved in improving the gameplay experience with a controller on consoles.
‘Most Stardew Valley development is being done by others, now (Chucklefish, Sickhead Games and Playism)… but I do still work on the game. For example, I am currently working on making the controller easier to use (getting rid of the cursor in menus when using gamepad). That should be added to the console and PC versions in a future patch.’
Stardew Valley is now available on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
