Binding of Isaac Creator is Working on a New Game, Announcement Coming Soon

Expect it to be weird.

Edmund McMillen is best known for developing some of the most unforgiving, but popular, roguelike games we see today. They are, of course, The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy. With a permadeath system in place, players are forced to familiarize themselves with tight controls, level design, and various other mechanics to help them survive. McMillen has been consistently updating Binding of Isaac for a few years now, but he and fellow developer Tyler Glaiel are close to announcing a brand new game.

‘On a side note not many of you know this but Tyler and i have been in crunch mode for the past 3 months trying to finish this secret project. We are coming close to announcing it and its release date, so keep and eye out for it, i don’t want to spoil the fun yet but i can say this.

It’s hard, it’s weird, it’s personal, it has amazing controls, it’s a totally new unannounced IP and it’s easily one of the largest games i’ve ever made level wise.’

We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
