Interrogation Time
Batman: The Enemy Within – Episode 1 Story Summary
Back at the Batcave, Bruce and Alfred try to figure out how Riddler is planning to attack all of the federal agents. Upon closer inspection of the micro pulse from the box he sent them earlier, as well as the mobile phones of the agents, Bruce realizes that the Riddler plans on using homing missiles to track down each of the agents’ locations through their mobile phones. By using the phones to emit a signal, it can call in a missile. This was how Lucius was killed.
However, Bruce still needs to find out where Riddler is, and where he’s kept the missiles. At this point, you can choose to either interrogate Mori as Bruce, or interrogate the Riddler’s right-hand man as Batman. If you choose Mori, Alfred warns that Waller might become suspicious of Bruce Wayne, but choosing the right-hand man might leave Gordon feeling snubbed, as he’s Waller’s prisoner, and the interrogation could be seen as an assertion of Waller’s authority.
For our playthrough, we went with the right-hand man, but didn’t use violence while interrogating him. Batman eventually finds out that Riddler is on a ship near the bay. Before leaving, one of Gordon’s subordinates tells Batman that Gordon is probably still going to be upset with him going behind his back for the interrogation, but he’ll most likely appreciate the fact that he didn’t use violence in the process.
