3 Ludicrous GTA V Vehicle Mods We All Secretly Dream Of

Anyone who’s ever watched Pacific Rim, played Armored Core, heck even played withTransformers toys on a Christmas morning has wanted their own personal gigantic robo-suit. They represent a symbol of implacable strength without the need for wheels. An all-encompassing desire to be invulnerable while staying in control. That and you can strap an armory of big-ass guns to the frame. Of course we all want these in GTA V. Lets be honest here, how could you not?

Adding a mechanized suit in GTA V will obviously not be on the minds of those who sanctify immersion. A mod creator who values the worth of fulfilling the hopes and dreams of childhood fantasies however would revel in the opportunity. Trying to jam mechs into GTA V might sound difficult but it’s far from impossible. The huge collection of assets likely to be made available to mod creators along with the inventive nature of the pastime is bound to be enough for those dedicated enough to bring us all the joy of mech-driving fun.

Just imagine stomping around the streets of Los Santos, encased in a titanic suit and carrying enough weaponry to blow every Merryweather employee six ways from Sunday. Humongous machinations would obviously be preferable, but not necessary viable for modders to slot into GTA V. Something around the same height as two trucks are long would probably be about right. All of the gubbins placed just over street level in areas like the docks wouldn’t exactly be inviting. Stomping through the wilds in a 60 foot mech and trying to shoot that skittish deer though, that’d be amazing on the face of it.

Military submarine

When someone says submarine, your head is whisked away to a world of cylindrical steel vessels embodying the very essence of a gigantic phallus. What you find in GTA Vhowever is nothing like that which your heady imagination creates. They’re dinky-ass exploration things that have the sex appeal of a crushed potato. We want proper submarines so please modders of Los Santos, make it so.

We don’t need to have a full crew of disgruntled seamen (insert your own jokes here) or enough cruise missiles to give Trevor the beginnings of a severe trouser accident. Just an actual submarine that we can use to blow irritating police boats out of the water or to up periscope and relish in our voyeuristic desires. With the masses of military hardware available in Los Santos, surely a submarine isn’t too much of a stretch.

Come on, just think about how cool of a mod that’d be. The use of submarines wouldn’t necessarily be a complete game changer, just a little something to let those of us who want to engage in a dash of naval fun have more choice than bleeding yachts. There’s also an argument here for someone recreating battleships in the waters of GTA V. That argument simply couldn’t stand up against the majesty of stealthily gliding through the water.

Spider Tank

Watch Dogs didn’t exactly take the world by storm. It was okay but it had the staying power of a well-aimed bird crap on a windshield. There was one thing in the game that almost made the price-tag worthwhile though. It wasn’t the hacking or the multiplayer or leaping over your child’s grave. No, it was the majestic sight of a full on awe-inspiring Spider Tank.

Outside of Watch Dogs‘ main narrative were these little dream states called Digital Trips. When taking a look at the game as a whole, these were probably the standout experiences of the game. They even gave birth to the Spider Tank, an incredibly powerful multi-legged machine with the ability to break apart vehicles with a simple crash of the leg. This combination of many people’s greatest phobia and a metallic skin may have been only a dream in Watch Dogs, but modders could make it a reality in GTA V.
They don’t exactly fit inside the game-world of Los Santos but who cares, there’s scope for people to create whatever they want. If someone honestly came to you and said, “Hey, you wanna drive a tank that can climb walls,” would you seriously be able to turn that opportunity down? I’d personally be willing to give up one of my kidney’s and much of my left arm for the opportunity. Clambering around the skyscrapers of downtown while launching rockets into whatever poor sap decides to get in the way. It’d certainly be a more individual vehicle than most of what the game has to offer.
