Gamers should set their expectations low for new Titanfall 2 content as developer Respawn Entertainment announced that it will focus on tweaking the game for the rest of 2017.
In the latest Frontier News Network announcement, Respawn shared that the patches coming out in October, November, and December will focus on quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and balancing changes. Other additions planned include purchasable weapon skins, including holiday-themed skins and “Elite” skins for primary weapons. Respawn will also continue changing the Featured Mode.
It remains unknown if Respawn will continue providing additional free content in the future. To be fair, Respawn said in their FNN announcement that these are just some of its plans for 2017 and more details will be shared soon. “Later this month, we’ll be revealing more details on what to expect in the patches and talking more about some of the things we want to try to shake up the meta of Titanfall 2,” Respawn stated.
Since Titanfall 2 released on October 28, 2016 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Respawn has deployed a slew of post-release content such as a co-op horde mode, several new maps, and a new titan called Monarch. Unlike the original game, these content were made available for free to prevent fracturing the community.
