Overwatch: How to Get Into the PTR on PC

PTR – Overwatch

Recommended Videos

Overwatch on PC has a neat feature called the Public Test Region (PTR). This is essentially a setting that allows players to beta test select features before they’re sent out into the full game.

Of course, this means that you’ll get access to new maps, game modes, and most importantly at the moment, new characters coming to the game in the coming weeks. For those who have been following Overwatch news recently, you may have noticed that Sombra has finally been unveiled and is on her way to the main game.

As it happens, she appears to have made her way into the PTR on PC as of now, so for those of you who can’t wait until the full release here’s how to get into the PTR on PC.

First, open your Battle.net desktop app and then make your way to the Overwatch tab on the left-hand side. From here, select “PTR: Overwatch” on the Region/ Account drop-down menu on the Overwatch page. You’ll then need to install this, so simply press the “Install” option to get it downloading. Once the installation is complete all you need to do is press Play and you’ll be jumping straight into the action.

That’s all there is to getting into the PTR. For more news, features, and everything else Overwatch, keep it locked to Twinfinite.
