Unlike most of the other skills that Griffa can unlock for you in Mad Max, this one is a guaranteed increase to your life, allowing you to take more punishment out in the wasteland. It will also help for when you get into an ugly crash and are sent flying from your Magnum Opus.
One other thing to remember is that healing is automatic and, depending on how you play, you may not always have the resources to heal when you finally catch a breather, so Longevity should definitely be one of your top priorities.
