Released back in 2011, the original Homefront told the story of a near-future United States that had been occupied by North Korea. Players fought as part of an underground resistance in order to try and bring down the occupation. Despite a great deal of marketing, the game didn’t quite live up to its promises and received average reviews when released.
The series is far from dead and developer Deep Silver Dambuster Studios are working hard on a sequel called Homefront: The Revolution. We haven’t heard a great deal about the game, but now it seems like things are being taken up a gear. A new trailer for the game has just been released called Thank You. The cinematic trailer doesn’t show off any gameplay, but gives us a sense of what life is like in the game and how resistance fighters are trying to topple the regime.
