Blizzard Entertainment has been sending their World of Warcraft day one subscribers an e-mail informing them they will be receiving a special physical gift in the mail.

MMO-Champion broke the news that if a player created a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game’s debut in America or Europe (Nov. 23, 2004 and Feb. 11, 2005), they would become eligible for a special surprise from Blizzard. Players who qualified for the gift should have received an email to their Battle.net accounts with details.

For anyone wondering what the gift was, Battle.net user Smitti (via Gamespot) was kind enough to upload imagines of the gift, which turned out to be a detailed Orc statue.

Orc StatueThe statue is a very detailed Orc riding a wolf. It is an exact replica of the 12-foot tall statue Blizzard has outside its headquarters in Irvine, California, built in 2009. The base of the statue reads: “The orc statue is a constant presence in our life at Blizzard entertainment. It’s where we meet to talk, to eat, to celebrate. As we celebrate ten years of World of Warcraft, we present this token of appreciation to you, stalwart adventurer. Thank you for being a constant presence in our lives as we adventure together.”

If you have yet to get an e-mail stating that you will receive the statue above, it’s safe to say you were not one of the people fortunate enough to receive it.  Even so, you can still stare at it here all you want for free. No subscription required.

It’s nice to see a company reward its most loyal fans with such a unique and thoughtful gift. Hopefully other companies can offer their tenure fans with something of such scale and magnitude. Were any of you a lifetime World of Warcraft subscriber who received one of these statues? Please share your experience below.
