Nintendo’s virtual console service takes popular games from past consoles like the NES, Super NES, and Nintendo 64 and supports them on next-gen consoles. In January 2007, Mario Kart 64 released on the Wii via virtual console, and then to the Wii U in Europe back in January of this year.
Now North Americans can take their turn trying out the 1996 classic with up to four players using either the Wii U GamePad, Pro Controller, Wii Classic Controller, or Wii Remote Plus.
Priced at $9.99, you can check out more info on Mario Kart 64’s virtual console release on its listing here.
