Vote for Your Favorite Anime Ninja Girl and Win Bountiful Prizes with SENRAN Kagura Burst Re:Newal Waifu Wars

Not every gamer wants to proudly proclaim they love anime girls on social media, but after reading this article, you might do just that.

The latest title in the long-running SENRAN KAGURA series, SENRAN KAGURA Burst Re:Newal (yes, I’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be pronounced “renewal”), will launch tomorrow on the PlayStation 4 and PC. Technically, it’s a remake of the 3DS game SENRAN KAGURA Burst, and it’s still about busty anime ninja girls hitting each other until their clothes literally explode, but publisher XSEED Games still believes this release deserves something extra.

Starting today, gamers can participate in the SENRAN KAGURA Burst Re:Newal Waifu Wars. Anyone who wants to join in should visit the poll site and vote for their favorite waifu, but that’s only half of the war.

After voting, participants are encouraged to state which SENRAN KAGURA characters they think will take first and second places with the hashtag #SENRANKAGURAWaifuWars. But gamers can’t post who they think will win on social media any old way. No, participants have to follow a specific template available on the poll site:

You might wonder why you would post such a thing on social media. For the chance to win glorious prizes, of course. XSEED Games will randomly choose participants who correctly predicted the winners (or participants who correctly predicted more winners than others). If you thought that was the end of the Waifu Wars, though, think again.

Starting January 28th, the winning waifus will return for one more contest, winner take all. One again, gamers will be encouraged to vote and guess who will walk away with the title of Most Popular Waifu, and participants who get the most correct answers will be randomly selected to win “the grand prize.”

Regrettably, XSEED isn’t telling what prizes players can expect, but odds are good these prizes are SENRAN KAGURA-themed —call it a hunch. On the bright side, though, everyone who votes will receive a wallpaper featuring the winning girls.
