Someone Took The Music Out From the Sonic Mania Intro, Added in Classic SFX, and It’s Oh So Satisfying

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

A Twitter user by the name of Ryboflavin decided to Tweet out something I’m assuming he had put together: the animated Sonic Mania intro without any music, and adding in only sound effects. The result is a part awkward, part funny, but mostly all SFX porn.

If you’re a long time fan of the Genesis games (or at least Sonic Mania), those sound effects will be all the music your ears need. It’s awesome how crisp those classic SFX sound without any music drowning them out. While the intro is still great with the music, we’re glad Ryboflavin took the time to see what it sounded like with just those classic sounds. I could sign up for that elevator scene before the logo flashes to permanently have the music removed. The elevator music is a nice touch.
