Respawn Is Aware of Apex Legends’ Disproportionate Hitbox Issue for Pathfinder

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Apex Legends is the latest and hottest battle royale game on the block. Even though it’s been so well-received, though, it does suffer from some minor issues, including a character’s hitbox being much larger than it should be.

Players have reported that Pathfinder, in particular, seems to have a hitbox that’s larger than what the robot appears to be. For instance, shooting it between its feet would count as a hit on the character model, meaning that Pathfinder players would be at a disadvantage when engaged with other characters in combat.

Thankfully, Respawn seems to be aware of this issue, and are open to discussing it, as it was brought up on the game’s official subreddit.

When asked to address the hitbox issue, Respawn responded with the following:

‘Sure! We are definitely aware of it and we were actually discussing it today. I can’t say anything more for now but we hear you guys.’

The developers have yet to announce a fix for the hitbox problem, but hopefully it’ll get updated soon. We’ll keep you updated as more info on the issue or a potential fix comes our way.

Apex Legends is now available as a free-to-play title on consoles and PC.
