MediEvil on PS4 Will Be a Remake, Developed by Other Ocean Interactive

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

We’ve known for a while now that MediEvil would eventually make its way to the PS4. Since that initial announcement, however, we haven’t heard a lot about it. Just yesterday, Sony chairman Shawn Layden announced in the PlayStation Blogcast that the PS4 release of MediEvil will be a full remake, which is huge.

In the Blogcast, Layden mentions that the words “remaster” and “remake” are often used interchangeably, which can lead to some misinformation. He clarified that MediEvil on PS4 will be a remake, and a faithful recreation of the original game with all the same key art and other game design elements. He also mentioned that the game is currently being developed by a studio called Other Ocean Interactive.

Layden didn’t say much else about the game, but there will be a new trailer for it dropping this Halloween, on Oct. 31. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more info comes our way.
