Mecha Knights: Nightmare developer Damian Kubiak released a new video of his mecha game, and it’s quite impressive.
You may have noticed that I used a developer’s name and not a studio, because Mecha Knights: Nightmare is a solo project by a lone game creator from Poland, and that certainly adds to how impressive the whole thing is.
The video showcases mech customization, with a number of swappable parts influencing an array of stats representing the mech’s performance.
I particularly love how weapon aim lose stability with firing and by improving recoil calibration you can counter that.Â
There are several other parameters spanning mobility, energy, cooling, and more.
You can check the video out below.
Set in 2049, Mecha Knights: Nightmare depicts a scenario in which monsters of unknown origin have appeared on Earth, and they’re gradually pishing humanity back.Â
Among the sources of inspiration, its creator cites Armored Core, Front Mission, Earth Defence Force, Resident Evil, Blue Gender, and Muv-Luv. I can’t say he doesn’t have great taste.Â
The release window listed on Steam is fall 2020. At the moment, no other platforms have been mentioned.
