With The Legend of Zelda releasing on March 4, just a month away, Nintendo has announced a few more details on the HD remake of the game. High definition visuals aside, fans will also be getting a new item in the game, along with a new Hero Mode, and a few other tweaks here and there.

With the game being put onto the Wii U the developers have utilized the Wii U’s GamePad. It’s now easier for players to access their inventory, transform into Wolf Link more quickly, and view the map via the touchscreen all without having to pause the game. Miiverse is also accessible, and you will find many hidden Twilight Princess Miiverse stamps hidden throughout the land of Hyrule. Off-TV play is also implemented in Twilight Princess HD.

There is a new item called the Ghost Lantern, that will aid Link in his search for Poe souls. When Link holds the lantern, it will begin to glow when in the presence of a Poe. The number of Tears of Light that you have to find has been lessened from 16 down to 12, making collecting them a tad easier. Also, when Link finds Rupees in chests while his wallet has reached its max, the Rupee will no longer go back into the chest, as it is less likely now to reach your wallet’s limit since that has been modified as well.

The new Hero Mode is accessible from the very beginning, you don’t have to complete the game to access it. In Hero Mode, Link will take double the damage dealt to him, and there will be no heart containers. And much like the Hero Mode in Ocarina of Time 3D, the dungeons will be reversed.

There are other tweaks here and there throughout the game as well, but it’ll be up to the players to discover them when The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD releases on the Nintendo Wii U.
