According to Sledgehammer Games’ Glen Schofield, the current generation of consoles has allowed Call of Duty: WWII to be the most realistic experience in the series to date.
The comments were made during the game’s global livestream. Talking about what the current generation of consoles had enabled them to do, Schofield talked about the “detail we can bring to the game” right down to the “way soldiers walked and talked.”
Commenting further, Schofield said “Normandy specifically, combining elements like the sound of the .50 caliber hitting the front of the boat, the boats hitting the shore, and taking cover behind the hedgehogs. It’s all about targeting the most realistic experience possible.”
Call of Duty: WWII is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Nov. 3.
