Publisher Coatsink has a knack for seeking out interesting indie projects, and it’s at it again with PHOGS! Due to launch on multiple platforms in 2019, this stylish co-op adventure puzzler takes inspiration from industry classics and channels it into something potentially quite unique and special.

In PHOGS!, you play as a duo of dogs connected via an elastic, gelatinous mid-section, on an adventure. Gameplay tasks you with combining your imagination and the unique characteristics of your PHOG to solve puzzles and overcome various obstacles.

The game’s physics-based puzzle gameplay is reminiscent of titles like Human Flat Fall and Noby Noby Boy. Developer Bit Loom Studios cite cartoon series Adventure Time and CatDog as influencing its world and character design.

There will be 30 diverse levels to play through, set across multiple worlds using a style of controls similar to ‘Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons,’ in which you’ll be able to play alone or stretch your co-op abilities with a friend.

PHOGS! is intended for digital release across multiple platforms in 2019. Specific platforms haven’t yet been announced but Coatsink has seen several of its games released across PC and all console platforms, including Nintendo’s Switch.

The game will be playable at PAX East, EGX Rezzed, and Bitsummit in the coming months.
