As an affordable alternative to the Oculus Rift and HTC VIVE, the PlayStation VR has arguably had a fairly successful launch. However, despite pre-orders for the headset selling out across the US and Europe, criticism still prevails as to whether virtual reality can continue to grow throughout the industry. Questions primarily surround the range and quality of experiences available for the new technology.
It’s great then to know that this week sees the launch of two PSVR games that look to have great potential:
Eagle Flight
With its Nov. 11 release date approaching, Eagle Flight combines the gameplay style of a World War 2 dogfighting simulator with birds of prey. Soaring above the city of Paris, the story mode begins after the human population vanishes. Paris itself has been reclaimed by nature, creating a breathtaking environment for which to spread your wings. Meanwhile, the game also has a multiplayer mode in which players are pitted against each other in an aerial combat based take on capture the flag.
Robinson: The Journey
Allowing you to explore the mysteries of an alien planet, Robinson: The Journey is set to take players on an emotional but rewarding journey filled with stunning scenery. After crash landing their ship, players are encouraged to embark on  a quest, stepping out into the dystopian world before them. Accompanied by a robot AI companion, there’s only the minor task of negotiating your way around the terrifying dinosaurs that inhabit the world and you should be okay! Robinson: The Journey debuts on the PlayStation VR Nov. 9.
