The action-packed 3D shooter Rogue Stormers has finally made its way onto the Microsoft home console. Those familiar with the SNK run ‘n’ gun franchise Metal Slug will see a lot of similarities in gameplay style in Rogue Stormers, whilst you adapt to a twin-stick control system in both local and online multiplayer.

The objective of the game is to blast your way through seven levels of constantly increasing difficulty, eventually making your way to do battle with the Ultimate Evil and save Ravensdale once and for all. Rogue Stormers also offers the old school feel by adapting a permadeath style, sending you back to the start should you die. The silver lining here is you can keep any perks and items you found previously, so it isn’t all doom and gloom if you are kicked back to square one.

Boasting plentiful weapons and upgrades and a selection of five different character classes to unlock, Rogue Stormers is a game that aims to keep things fresh by changing your experience each time you play with these different varieties in each session you play. Prepare yourself to head into the vast city of Ravensdale featuring epic boss battles with procedurally generated maps and discover the devastating backstory that brought it to its current predicament, and learn more about the heroes who are out to save it.
