How to Pick Up Weapons and Items – Yakuza 0

Yakuza 0 features Kiryu, strolling around Tokyo, getting into a ton of fights. Naturally, with a beat-em-up premise comes a lot of beat-em-up features. While he can use his fists to pummel his enemies, he can also grab some everyday items and use them during a fight if they’re around. Cabbage, salt shakers, trashcans, and more are useful tools to kick some hooligan butt.

You’ll be able to tell if you can pick up an item if it’s highlighted while you stand next to it. Once you see it turn a shade of blue, whatever it is, you can pick it up by pressing Circle. This might be a bit of a pain if the item is small or if an enemy is nearby. Once you do pick it up, you can execute regular attacks and even throw the item at whoever you’re fighting. These won’t last forever, and the amount of hits they have in them will be noted on the screen. Also, keep in mind that it’s far easier to hit your enemy if you’re throwing the weapon from a distance and have them locked on (hold down R1 for that).

Use your surroundings to your advantage, pick up whatever weapons you can, and you’ll eliminate enemies faster than if you had just used your fists. If you need any more Yakuza 0 help, be sure to check back to Twinfinite for new guides and tips!
