Developed by Monolith Soft, Xenoblade Chronicles was originally released for the Wii back in 2010. Fast forward to this year, and it’s making a comeback on the Nintendo Switch with the release of a brand new Definitive Edition. This is still pretty much the same game but with improved graphics and added story content, and you can rest assured that there’s a lot of content to get through here. Here’s how to skip cutscenes in Xenoblade Chronicles.
Skipping Cutscenes in Xenoblade Chronicles
Xenoblade Chronicles is a very story-focused JRPG, so you can bet that there will be plenty of cutscenes for you to sit through and watch. The good news is that you usually only have to watch these cutscenes once; for instance, if you happen to die in a boss fight, you’ll resume from the nearest checkpoint and you can run back to the arena to attempt the fight again without having to sit through the cutscenes.
However, if you’ve already played the game before and just want to blaze through the story to get to the end, you’ll be glad to know that there’s an easy way to skip cutscenes in this game.
To skip cutscenes in Xenoblade Chronicles, simply press the + button during it to enter a pause menu, then press the A button. If you just want to continue letting the cutscene run, either press the + button again or press B and it’ll resume.
Of course, skipping cutscenes is not recommended for first playthroughs as the story can be quite dense. But seeing as how this is an extremely lengthy game, the option is there for anyone who just isn’t all that interested or invested in the story elements.
That’s all you need to know about how to skip cutscenes in Xenoblade Chronicles. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
